After years of speculation and development reshuffles, Tropico 7 is officially confirmed for a 2026 release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, and it will launch day one on Xbox Game Pass.
Development in Germany
Originally overseen by Nine Worlds Studios in Munich, the game’s development transferred in early 2024 to Gaming Minds Studios in Gütersloh. The move consolidates development within Kalypso Media’s in-house studios and reflects significant German government funding (nearly €2 million) for one of the country’s largest current gaming projects.
Platforms confirmed
Tropico 7 will be available on Xbox Series X/S (with day-one availability on Game Pass), PlayStation 5, and PC via platforms such as Steam and the Epic Games Store!
